T-shirt design in Chennai
A tee design lives or dies on the print method. Screen, DTF and embroidery each want a different file, and artwork built for the wrong one comes back thick, cracked or unreadable.
What it costs
Design only. Printing is paid to your vendor, and I'll tell you which method suits the artwork.
Design for the method, not the mockup
Tell me how it's being printed before I draw anything. Each method has hard limits, and designing past them is how you end up with 200 tees nobody wants to wear.
Things people forget
-
Print size, not image size
A chest print is usually 10 to 12 inches wide. Artwork gets built at that size, not scaled up from a logo file.
-
Placement height
Two inches below the collar seam reads right on a person. Centred on the flat garment sits too low.
-
Garment colour first
Pick the tee shade before the artwork. Designing on white and printing on charcoal changes everything.
-
Size range
One print size across S to XXL looks small on the big sizes. Two scaled versions solve it.
-
Wash durability
Large solid areas crack faster than open designs. Worth knowing before approving a full-chest block.
-
Sleeve and back options
A small sleeve mark often does more for a uniform than a bigger chest print.
